Quickie Review: Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+ in Peach Almond

I expected this oatmeal to taste like all others usually do, packaged and sugar loaded.

Did Quaker Real Medleys live up to my typical oatmeal stereotype?

Well, I encountered:
Almonds of a good texture
A Nice, filling serving size
Less than a minute prep/cooking time
Whole grain rolled oats
And.. Juicy peaches!!

Well, there were some not-so-good encounters too:
Almonds became overkill
Could use more brown sugar
Sugary

Product specifications:
Price: $1.79 per cup
Net Weight: 2.64 OZ (75g)
Calories: 290 per cup

Verdict: I am content with this oatmeal, while it still may have some typical sugary oatmeal flaws, I am still getting the chance to have a more convenient cup of oatmeal.

I look forward to picking up many more of these. I do understand that with the price point, some may be hesitant- but as compared to other on-the-go meals (ie. fast food) the price adds up to not be as bad as a $3 chicken quesadilla from Taco Bell. As a bonus, this meal is going to fill you up more and be better for you!

Prep Recommendation: Don't stir the oatmeal with the water prior to cooking *if you like the perfect thickness*. Simply pour water into cup to fill line and microwave as directed.

DISCLAIMER: I received this @Quaker #RealMedleys oatmeal cup complementary of Influenster in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. All opinions are honest and my own.

Quickie Review: EBOOST Natural Energy

A quickie review of the Eboost natural energy made with green tea extract in acai pomegranate flavor- in a powder individual serving convenience packet. Pros: -All natural vitamins -The vitamin flavor isn't as overwhelming as you would taste in other vitamins -quick to make -Vitamins: C, D, B-12 -Low calorie -No crash (that I could remember) -Many different citrus flavors -Fizzy Cons: -Strong taste -Water (at least for me) has to be super cold or perfectly warm -Price -Stevia -Flavor could probably still be improved Price: $28 for a box of 20 Rating (1 bad, 10 great): 6 Pro tip: Be sure to drink a large amount of water before pouring powder into water bottle and shaking, otherwise it will start to overflow while it fizzes/mixes. NatureBox - Healthy Monthly Snacks

NatureBox is another monthly subscription box. However, it is different. Each month, they send you nutritionist approved snacks! This month I received 5 zip-lock type, reclosable bags (as you will each month) with some snacks I never thought could be tasty or as filling as they were. Masa Crisps- These harder chip-like crisps are a nice bite-size. Personally I was less likely to shove a ton in my mouth as they were filling, salty, and crunchy to my liking. They also have flax seeds in them, which is great for you! Dried Pears- These tasty buggers taste fresh, not overpowering and they're FILLING! I especially found the outside skin of these to be an extra special treat. It was almost like I tasted sugar, but nope! Only dried pears here! (They're gone now btw!) Pistachio Power Clusters- Reading the word CLUSTER automatically fills me up, I'm not a huge fan of anything clustered as it can be a lot to eat in what feels like should be a bite-size piece. But, I'd like...

Quickie Review 3D Crest Whitestrips

Today I tried the Crest 3D White Whitestrips Professional Effects Impressions by occurrence: 1) Strips are very sticky, they stick well to pretty-dry teeth. However, I find it weird that they don't cover ALL of your teeth, who wants half-white teeth?? 2) After about 10 minutes of wear (out of 30) I started tasting the nasty gel-like substance they use for the whitening ~ I felt like barfing and I had a bit of a stomach ache. 3) I removed the strips, and my teeth felt smoother than usual. 4) About 4 hours after using {reason I decided to write this post} the strips for the first time, my teeth felt cold and very sensitive. The strips didn't work for me - I discontinued use. Received complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.
