NatureBox is another monthly subscription box. However, it is different. Each month, they send you nutritionist approved snacks! This month I received 5 zip-lock type, reclosable bags (as you will each month) with some snacks I never thought could be tasty or as filling as they were.
Masa Crisps- These harder chip-like crisps are a nice bite-size. Personally I was less likely to shove a ton in my mouth as they were filling, salty, and crunchy to my liking. They also have flax seeds in them, which is great for you!
Dried Pears- These tasty buggers taste fresh, not overpowering and they're FILLING! I especially found the outside skin of these to be an extra special treat. It was almost like I tasted sugar, but nope! Only dried pears here! (They're gone now btw!)
Pistachio Power Clusters- Reading the word CLUSTER automatically fills me up, I'm not a huge fan of anything clustered as it can be a lot to eat in what feels like should be a bite-size piece. But, I'd like to note that I couldn't find any PISTACHIOS.. All I tasted were peanuts and almonds. (Pun) Maybe that's just me being a nut though!! (Pun)
Lemon Pucker Pistachios- These are a a definite spin on the whole shelled-pistachio thing. My first thoughts were "Wow, what, do I like this? It's spicy? No that's sweet? pucker...hmm, what... Another?!" It's one of those enticing treats you want more of because they are such a DIFFERENT snack compared to everything else sold in supermarkets. I'm really glad I have been exposed to these. NOTE: Because they have such a puckering taste, you'll eat less of them!
Wild Blueberry Flax Granola- I left these for last because I didn't care too much for them as a snack. The bunches are more like something you would eat as a cereal or on top of oatmeal.. Which is a bit odd. I'm also not a huge fan if blueberries, so I may be a bit bias. To note, there aren't as many blueberries as you may expect. This "mix" is mostly overwhelmed by an oat-y taste which I can't stand much of.
Other Information:
As a BONUS to the tasty treats for you, NatureBox feeds a child in need through Feeding America- one meal for every box shipped!
Question to NatureBox: "Say someone gets one box, cancels their monthly box and still wants one particular item (such as the lemon pucker pistachios) is there a way (or will there be a way) to order them individually?" - Myself
Response from NatureBox: "Right now we do not have the ability to send out individual snacks but that is something that we are working on and will be ready in a few months. However, our new site where you can choose your snacks every month will be ready in just a few weeks so our members will be able to choose the snacks that go into their box on a monthly basis very soon!" - Molly
